Clymer makes an excellent manual, as well. Check the usual suspects for used copies, or new, if you prefer: Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, RepairManual.com, and ebay.com, to name a few. Prices vary, so it pays to shop around.
Clymer covers most things, in decent, step-by-step procedures. They even cover overhauling the engine, and the transmission, which is much more than I would care to tackle. Torque specifications are listed, wiring diagrams (schematics, with wire color codes), and a whole lot of other information you likely will never need.
I have
Clymer manuals for two of my bikes. For the third, my main touring ride, the only book published was the factory manuals... They really blow compared to
Clymer. I wish there was something (anything!) else available, but there isn't. Kawasaki factory manuals are written in less than user-friendly fashion -- don't know about Honda, though (
Clymer has served me superbly, such that factory manuals have never been necessary -- YMMV). Hopefully Honda writes better manuals than Kawasaki... Cheers!
