That diagram shows the timing to be advanced. Your power/RPM problem is classic to running Pods.

There was a guy here not long ago that put a set of 77-78 Keyhole carbs on his DOHC. Worked pretty good to. Another option is Yamaha Seca carbs.

Are you dead set on pods? If not, the carbs you have would be fine, you just need the airbox.
If you are set on different carbs, what Tools said. Though, these new carbs DO look really pretty. The cr29 is all you need if your bike is stock.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Looks like a rip off of the cyclex version for sohc. Same carb model even. The cyclex model works well apparently so I expect these would too. And they are a bit cheaper, so that is always a plus.
