This guy owns a shop in Philadelphia PA. More Brit bikes than anything else, but the soul is there.
Enjoy.

A lot of what he says is sad but true. I live in chicago, which is even MORE mechanically inept!
Most of the time, my friends who are girls are both better and more willing to get their hands dirty and do something.

I love that video, I wish there was a shop like that that I could hang out at... We got one old guy building bikes, with his own shop but he aint the friendliest guy,..
Though I think people in my City are still building their own shit. maybe because those are the people I know, but I think Pittsburgh still has the can do attitude.

A lot of those old guys seem real unfriendly until they get to know you and realize you are not there to waste their time. Those are guys who know how to get stuff done. Those are the ones to learn from

I know how the guy feels. So do you alot of you guys who build thing. That feeling when its almost done. When I'm doing it on my bikes its never all the way done.
When it starts for the first time in 10 years and you ride down the street, yea, its great. When I have a customer pick up up that 1974 beater and he see's it for the first time after I'm done with it and you see has eyes just light up.....its just sooo cool. That maybe why I do what I do.I almost feel like a rock star.Just love it.Shiny Mike
