Hey Tools.  A guy sold off his Triumph/BSA
collection at the local auction house.
Most went for 2500 to 4000.
This 1971 BSA Rocket 3 went for 11,000.

Man I dunno what’s up. The first 2 came out good.  I had to resize the BSA.  Maybe that’s why some come out 90 degrees rotated.

That BSA Rocket 3 was so ugly that it is now pretty cool. Try downloading Add Blocker Plus. It is free and will stop all the adds.

Thx guy.  Might just try the adblocker thing.

The Rocket 3.   There were about a dozen
old guys hanging around those bikes at the auction.  With some interesting views.
Some suggesting it was fact that bike was only made for 1 year. And only 1971s had what are called greyframes.
Some said yeah, they were so good they were all run to death and finally scrapped.
Others said the opposite, they were crap and just parked in the back of the garage for 40 years because nobody wanted to ride them.
Another said it was because it’s a BSA, and apparently there’s a few pics from the past of certain movie or rock stars with BSA on their t shirt or ass.  That it’s a cult thing.

Whatever, that bike, with a gas tank full of rust, and no title, brought 4 times what maybe a dozen other Triumphs and Norton’s of that era pulled.
And is headed for some  museum somewhere.

Collectors. Gotta love em.

You know why it did not do so well in sales, don't you?

Honda just came out with the CB 750.
