Hello,
I have a 76 cb750k for a month now and its been running great until this morning. All of a sudden it feels super sluggish (kind of sounds like its running rich or its misfiring but Im not exactly sure what that sounds like) it makes a deep PUH sound when i let go of the gas and when idling. It also idles crappy all of a sudden and will slowly die if I dont give it gas. The only thing that has changed since this morning is that I was trying to reconnected the starter cables at the throttle since the previous owner accidentally cut them. iT was not an easy job since it was cut basically right at the button. I think the solenoid is bad or there is a bad ground, since the bike still wont electric start since connecting the wires at button, but thats a different problem. Could this have caused a problem to the running of my bike, if maybe there is a bad connection at the button? Also when I give it a quick throttle a could of black smoke came out of the bike. I am afraid to keep driving the bike if its causing damage the more i ride it. Any help would be much appreciated.
