Motorcycle Revs when Clutch engaged

honda_newbie
The 81' CB750 I have runs great up until it gets warmed up and then when I engage the clutch, it quickly revs up to around 3500-4000 rpm and stays there for about 10-15 seconds and settles back into a normal idle.

Should I try to adjust my idle speed or check for vacuum leaks? (I have pod filters installed and the jets are bumped up to 110's) I have not had this issue until recently. I wonder if it has to do with the Texas heat?

The clutch should not any effect on idle. However it does sound like you have a vacuum leak.
