Mounting intake boots

Peterwh
Does anyone have a trick for getting the intake boots in a standard SOHC air box onto the carbs?  I can get three to go on but not all four at once. Right now I have one boot that is not quite on the carb.

A heat gun helps immensely. Also, I like this brand of silicone grease. It's silicone, but never hardens or liquifies. Since it's silicone, and made to stand up to brake heat, it does just fine on carb boots. Just a thin smear lets most things slip right together. There are other tpyes of silicone grease available, but these little tubes can be found at Walmart for about $5

I use spray silicone lube on the rubber boots, but there is not really any way to get 3 intake boots onto the carbs, and one not go on unless it is not there, so I am guessing you are talking about the boots between the carbs and airbox. I use a tool made for radiator hoses to help install them. It looks like a bent screwdriver. Harbor freight has them really cheap.
