750 Rat

My 72 Rat Project

Here is what I started with about a month ago

and after a few mods and few cuts here and there.

cycle x drag pipes installed

rear shocks removed 9" twisted struts installed

about to cut rear peg supports off

forward controls installed

rear shot of forward controls and tail light bracket

here is a shot with the drag bars and coffin tank installed

There is still a little bit work to do, install a new rear fender, re-jet the carbs, install a 5" head light, install the model a taillight, weld on a bicycle crank for a bike pedal kick start, rip out all electrical and only wire the headlight and tail light, cut original seat down to a solo seat, a custom sissy bar, and what ever else I decide between now and......

Damn that will look nasty! How were the cycle x pipes to mount? How is the quality?

That bike is going to be pretty cool, but I wished I had that seat. I am trying to restore a 76 CB 750A and it has some sort of custom formed touring seat that is really ugly, but very comfortable.
