My new parts ,1976 cb750k

johnrox
I just ordered a new Kerker 4:1 exhaust with a 2" performance baffle, K&N pod air filters and a dyna S electronic ignition.  Just wondering what kind of performance increase should I expect (if any) from what I believe is a stock engine. also what size jets should I use for this set up, current ones are 105.  thanks in advance

It sounds like we are/ were in a similar situation. I coped below what someone told me:

"My 78 750k has four into one exhaust and K&N pod filters. After nearly 2 years of trial and error I finally found the right jet combination. I used 105 main jets with adjustable needles set on the second from the top setting. Start out with your air screws one and a half turns out like normal and adjust as needed. Make sure your valves are set to specs or it will never run right. This worked out great on my 750K. Hope it helps others with this type of problem."

I assume you already got the exhaust and installed it, so I've got a question. Did you have a hard time fitting the Kerker pipes into the exhaust ports? It seems like my kerker pipes are slightly too large and either might need to be filed down or the ports bored out. What did you end up doing?
