NO OIL!!!!!!!!

Went out to start the bike for work yesterday.

The valves were making a terrible racket so I shut her down immediately.

Checked the oil, ALMOST NONE. Stuck my middle finger down into the fill hole as far as it would go, which is almost to the bottom of the case, NO OIL!!!

I have a small leak in the valve cover gasket, which I am sure is normal for a bike that was sitting for a while like mine was.

But I don't see how I could have leaked out at least more than 2 liters and not notice it happening. AND there is no oil spot on the driveway.

I'm stumped, WHERE DID MY OIL GO?!?!?

Please help, my baby is sitting home lonely and thirsty.

Could it be burning the oil? What does the exhaust look like?

I don't notice any particular color. When she is cold, first thing in the morning, the exhaust is a little white. But doesn't seem any different from any modern vehicle that isn't burning oil...

The exhaust does tend to have a rather potent impact on the olfactories.
That is whether it's hot or cold.
Still a mystery...
