Need reassurance. What year/type of engine I have??

Drako750
My engine number on the case is CB750E-2359436. I think it's a 1974 CB750 K4. Am I right?? Also. I think it's called a yoke. But the neck of the frame where the forks mount, how do you go about figuring out the right bearings size that are needed to mount the forks to the bike? Cause my forks center rod that goes through the neck is just under an inch in diameter. So is the hole in the neck. But then there's a lip on the neck at both ends that's nearly 2 inches in diameter where I think the bearings go. Some help would be great. Donno if I know the right words to describe it.

You are right, you do have a K-4 engine. However it looks like you have an aftermarket hardtail frame, and I have no idea of what front end you have. However I would guess your frame is set up to use Harley bearings, and stem. I would give Kate at Cycle-one manufacturing a call about the bearings.

Awesome. Thank you. Here are some picks of my front end type. To give you a better picture for the type of berrings I would need. Also. You see the rust on my forks yes? Is there a faster way other than type 4 steel wool an coke to remove that in order to restore the forks and engine case??

Call Kate at Cycle-one, and she will get you set up with bearings. As for the rust, and crud on your engine, and front end, I would soda blast them. It will take all the rust, and crud off, but will not hurt the chrome, or the aluminum.

Another question. How do you restore or make a carb for this engine look as good as the engine?

Sonic clean, bead/soda blast. paint/powder coat, and re-anodize the steel parts.
