New CB 750 owner saying hello

neognosis
Hello everyone, I just bought a 1980 CB 750. Picking it up tomorrow. I plan on working on the engine myself and making some "cafe" modifications to the bike.

The bike runs now, but it has a problem with the starter and the engine feels like it's not quite right. I'm going to check it out thoroughly

I'm glad to have stumbled on this forum and hope to be a valued contributor.

That was pretty egotistical of you, Re-Run.

I may be the humblest man you've ever met, and I'm darned proud of that.

I am having an awful time trying to get the seat off. There is a lock that opens and closes a helmet keeper, but that doesn't seem to unlock the seat. Nothing I've tried seems to work... is there a trick to getting the seat off?
