Hello guys , I am a huge fan of 750's , but i dont have a ride yet , i had a dirk bike , but sold it after accident and a broken collarbone :)
I am planning to start a project soon, and i need some advice
I personally like the racing type , but i might be a bit difficult to customize the bike that way ( and ride it on the streets ), so i am open to cafes too
Question :
1- should i start from just a frame and buy the rest of the stuff , or should i buy an entire bike even if i will not use most of the parts .
2- if i decided to go with the racing type 750, is there a set up ( fairings etc ) that allows me to install head lamps and indicators ?
I am not sure if a racing type is street legal
any thoughs ?
Btw , sorry for the typos , I am Cuban ( my english is no very good looking :) )
Any help/ advice would be appreciated
somehow it is really hard to find good deals on CB's stuff in south florida .
thanks
Danny

Hey Danny. There are a couple guys on here from South Florida that you might want to get with. As for a bike, if you want to do a cafe type bike, I would suggest that you find a rough, but somewhat complete SOHC CB 750. Any parts you do not use can be sold pretty easily. Also you might want to check out some of the build threads on the forum her, for ideas.

Hey Tools
thanks for the advice , it makes sense ,
the hard part is to find the rough bike down here at a good price .
I will check the build section of the forum as you suggested
Thanks
Danny

Agreed with Tools. If you. Buy it one part at a time you will end up paying way more money than if you bought one complete.

I disagree. because many stock items on the CB750 will not be useable.

I didn't see a price, but I would be wary of that bike if you are unsure about tour mechanical capability. It doesn't have carbs, so there is no way to test to see if it runs.
If you do get it, be prepared for repairs and budget an extra $200 for the carbs alone.
Unless it was very cheap I would stay away. Sent from my BlackBerry device

Yea it will run without carbs on carburetor cleaner, or starting fluid, but only as long as your spraying it. I would offer $500.00 if it has a title. Then I would get a set of Mikuni carbs from Sudco.

I agree with tools. $1400 seems like too much. There could still be a lot of other issues that aren't easily identifiable because you can only run it for a few seconds. Sent from my BlackBerry device
