New guy says Hi

bear69
Morning all,

Just thought I'd put in a post as I've made a recent aquisition of a rare (at least here in UK) CB750sc.

Iknow it looks rough, but I quite like it that way for now. I runs wells though even after standing for a couple of years. It's an '82 with 52,000 on the clocks. It is an import from the USA. All I need to do now is replace the fork seals and it's ready for a test.

Seats are hard to come by so I may have to get one made.

Thanks, it should go through okay, it was imported some years ago, and has passed before.

I did the fork seals (37x50x11 if any one needs the info) yesterday and couldn't believe how easy they were to do. Didn't even remove them from the bike! Will put a breath of wind in the forks today and see if they still hold good.

As for the MOT, I think it'll need some new tyres before I submit it.

there are several sources in the states to purchase parts for your sc. it doesn"t look bad for a forgotten bike.  i actually own one myself. and currently operate a shop dedicated to the old air cooled hondas. if i can help with any tech. questions my em. address is  " the_bike_shop at yahoo dot com"and a word of advice on the new fork seals, don't put more than 6 to 9 psi into the air forks or premature seal failure will occur.  have a safe ride.

yeah I think most people never went above 10 psi, and that was with a vetter hanging on the front I think.
