Hi Bill . Welcome to the forum. I`m no expert on those early cb750s, but basically they were the forerunner to the CB750K or in Australia where I come frmo they are known as the Cb750KZ. There are problably more qualified folks on the god forum to help you with any problems with your 74 CB750. What beats me is in a country such as big as yours and hige distances to cover, how come I have seen so many CB750 with so little mileage on them. Mind you I`m a fine one to speak. I bought my CB750KZ in South Africa in 1981, did 13,000 miles on it and them immigrated to Australia in 1983 and now have a total of 40,000 ( +/- 20,000 miles on it. I`m restoring mine back inot is former showroom glory, and as its mainly cosmetic and now damage to any parts , its just replacing everything that needs repalcing and then a new paint job and chrome plating where the chrome is coming away. Should last anothe 28 years , by then it will be a museum piece
