Very nice! Take your plugs out, clean and dry them and make sure you have good spark. Hold the plug (hooked up) on the head to ground it and hit the starter. I use an insulated needle nose pliers to hold the spark plug cap. I gap my plugs at .026" and don't use ANYTHING but NGK plugs in these. Check point gap as well.

Thanks, I think the fact that it was 30 degrees out didn't help either LOL

Denso plugs work just fine....if you can find them.

Very nice ride there! What plugs are currently in it? they SHOULD be D8EA NGK. D7 and D9 will work. If it is cold a d7 will work a bit better than the 8. Make sure the plug is NOT a DR8EA as that is a resistor plug and will degrade spark.

As for any tricks, trial and error. My 78K like NO throttle and full choke. Some like half throttle and ect.

Hey Thanks!
It's got the NGK plugs in it right now, The fella that I bought it from has been really helpfull He sent me an email on how he starts her when she is cold, He even Offered to drive 75 miles to help me if I have any problems!
I paid $1500 for it and its got 23k on it and everything is in great shape down to the breakfluid
It even still has the yellow Manufacturing marks on some of the bolts and the plastic caps on the brake bleeders
This is my second bike and I just wanted something late model, I have always wanted a CB super sport!
Thanks everyone for their help!
and keep the rubber side down

YES!!
I have found that all I have to do is leave the choke shut let 'er turn over couple times and then just crack the throttle and she fires right up!
This is the best cold starting bike I have ever owned! Not use to a lean start!
The thing goes to beat Hell too!

good im glad you figured out your bikes method. cause i will tell you just about all cb mobels have there own way they like to be woken up. mine is very tempermentle when being woke up from winter hibernation and on cool nights. she is groggy for about 3 mins after starting and once warm........ hold on to your pants she is a bat out of hell!! lol

Even After carb rebuild  mine was hard starting. Bike shop told me to try some  fuel treatment called Sea Foam.  I LOVE IT> Worked perfect and has more git up and go now.Starts easy too       Ray

Ahhhh Seafoam!!
I love that stuff!
The bike is really starting perfectly, Once warmed up It starts with one kick!
I like that!
I got alot of buds with Harleys and they where just amazed when I started it with one kick! 33 year old bike!
They were even more amazed when I pop the throttle and Blow Right by 'em!
then shift into 5th!
