No spark at the plugs

trikeboiler
Hi all, I have a cb750kz 1979, it had been stood for over twenty years, anyway I got her running, although rather sluggish, after some of your advice fitted new intake rubbers, new oil and filter, and now it wont start as there is no spark at any of the plugs. I also had to remove the exhaust and down pipes to get the oil filter off, pretty certain the 4into1 exhaust is not for this bike. So any ideas as to why I have no spark all of a sudden I will be very grateful Thanks

If you had spark before, then suddenly none, check your kill switch. It's called a noob mistake because all of us have done it.
After that, then something got unplugged somehow, or the battery isn't charged enough. Those are usually the 3 things related to not having spark suddenly.

Hi had the kill switch off and cleaned, been tracing wires and connectors all morning, cant find anything unplugged, battery fully charged. the pulsar unit appears as good as the day it was fitted, not yet checked main earth to the frame but if this was faulty the bike wouldn't turnover or am I wrong. trouble is I can never get my head around electrical problems. all info greatly received. Thanks.

Bike can turn over if starter is getting ground but if frame is weak than coils may not fire. To check this, run a jumper cable from negative terminal of battery to any good frame bolt or even the handlebars.

You had the kill switch apart, are you sure it is closing the circuit? I'd test the wires going to the kill switch with a meter to make sure it is working right. It might look right, but still might not be making contact.
