NoiseHush N800 Interphone Bluetooth Headset - Anyone have one?

Cabreco
Trying to find out if this is worth buying.

I'm looking for some headsets for communication between the wife & me. The ability to answer the phone is nice.

I know the Scala units are great but Spending over $300 for a pair of them is a difficult chew.

I know you get what you pay for, but if these units do the job without a lot of noise it would be worth it for $50 a pop.

Has anyone bought these? The are NoiseHush N800 Interphone Bluetooth Motorcycle Headset.

No, I don't have these, but I do have a set of the Scala units, an older model.  We used a corded intercom (around $50), prior to that.  The Scala units can be had for less than $300/pair.  Try an Internet search, as well as e-Bay (picked up our set, 2-3 years ago, for $200, brand new, older model).  If you like this set, $100 for a pair is very little cash.  Have you done an Internet search for reviews?

In retrospect, I am not terribly satisfied with our Scala Rider 2(?) set, but it is better than the corded unit.  Let us know what you find.  Cheers!

I tried doing a search for reviews. Haven't found anything...good, bad , ior indifferent, that sort of makes me suspect.

These aren't really reviews, but literally the only thing that comes up when looking for 'em.

My usual sources were eerily devoid of reviews however.

I suspect this is you as well... lol.

Turbos, Hondas, 4-bangers, what could go wrong?

I wouldn't get it, personally. When there's zero reviews, that typically means it's not that great of a product. Plus, it says its only got a range of 30 - 50 feet. That's piddly, and won't work between 2 bikes, which I personally think a product should be able to do. Whether it uses RF or bluetooth, it should have a way to talk to 2 headsets even a LITTLE distance away - what happens if you get stopped at a light, your friend gets through, and he can't stop for 300 feet? Or you get separated while just riding and enjoying the ride? Or the battery gets to 50% capacity, thus reducing the range?

Too many possibilities, and no real-world data to back up their claims.

Good luck making a choice!

It appears to be a low-powered version of Scala, and other higher-end, Bluetooth intercoms:  this unit has a 30-50 foot range, while the high-end units have a range of 1,000 feet.

If you have friends with another Bluetooth intercom, contact the company, and ask if their unit can pair with other Bluetooth intercoms:  if they can pair with any Bluetooth unit (very likely...  they will pair with any Bluetooth phone), try ordering a single unit, for $50, and try it out.  That will allow you to test drive it, for 1/2 the cost.  You can always dump it on e-Bay, or CL.  Be sure to report back here, please?...  Cheers!

30 ft would be more that adequate as the only other person I'd be speaking to would be directly behind me in the back seat (lol)
The other reason would be the ability to answer a phone (or at least hear it's ringing)
I suppose it has to be a leap of faith, and you're right, I can always sell them on Ebay.

Well, due to the lack of reviews, I started getting a little leery about this. You know how it is when that little voice in your head (no, not the wife) starts yappin'.

"You buy cheap, you buy twice!"

A lesson that took decades for me to realize.

So I decided to bite & go for the Scala units. They have a much longer talk & standby time & they have better features.
