Oil Lines

katman
Hi everyone,
I have had my 75 apart for refurbishing and putting it back toghether now. I thought I had everything bagged and labeled. I was installing oil tank and oil lines. Is there supposed to be any kind of sealing washer
in the oil line fitting were it threads up to the tank. It just seems like there was and if so I am still looking
for mine. I will post some pics of my progress.

I don't remember positively but I want to think there was some sort of crush washer there. Like the one on the pan bolt, just a different size.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

They are (cursh washers) aluminum washers or brass,  ACE hardware carries most of them.  Where i get mine when I need one.  Just take something so you get the right size.  If indeed you realy need one.

There is in a fact an aluminum crush washer on each line where it fastens to the tank. I got lucky and reused mine. They were lodged on the fitting end of the hose and I couldnt get them out so I just gave reusing them a shot.I got lucky I suppose. But yes, they are there.

A good word of advice. If you take your bike apart keep everything in a big plastic container.
Luckily I had everything in ziplocks and marked. I found my washers in a bag I had marked, but away
from everything else. I'll take a pic today and post to show my progress.
Thanks Guys
