Paintless dent removal?

I've seen a few videos on youtube that show dent removal on gas tanks, body panels, all sorts of stuff.
I've got a nice golf-ball-sized dent on my tank that might be a good candidate for this.  It involves some specialized tools, about 2 hours of time, and experience.  Looks like a neat deal IF it works.

If your tank has a sealer on the inside, I would assume it would need to be re-applied.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Never, but always wondered about it. I used to take tanks that had big dents in them, and carefully cut out the dented section. Then I could hammer, and dolly that piece straight, and weld it back into the tank. A little body putty, and it was good as new.
