While I was making a deal to buy a 82 Kawasaki KZ 750 LTD my buddy called me, and told me he had lined up a 74 Honda CB 750, for me to check out. Naturally I said "OK". So after getting the KZ home I rode up to North Kansas City, and met up with my buddy. We took his 1975 Chevy van, and drove out into the sticks. It seemed like we drove, for hours. Actually it was an hour, and a half. Would have been less if we had not gotten lost. However we finely found the place. The bike was like it had been in a time capsule. It had been brought to KC from California by the original owner. However the title got lost in the move, so it was never titled in MO. The bike sat, for years in a garage. Then it was sold 8 years ago to the guy that had it. He had thought he was going to fix it up, but 8 years later he realized he was not going to get it done. I now have the bike, but without a title it will be parts. Still have not decided what to do with the Kawasaki. It needs tires, seat cover, battery, and carbs cleaned. Would not take much to have the beast back on the road. It has been rebuilt with an overbore, and has a Vance, and Hines header. It has sat, for at least 4 years, but has a clean title.

Can you apply for a new title? speaking of "new" bikes...what do you think of a 85 GS550?How do they perform compared to a cb750?
...intervention time???

I could, but it is a lot of work in MO. The GS 550 will blow your CB 750 into the weeds. But is not as COOL!!!!

Oh yea. Suzuki got it right with their inline 4's. It's a shame they had to go through a rotary, a 3 cylinder two stroke water cooled, and the other crappy 3 cylinder 2 strokes before getting it right. However if, you ever come across a two cylinder 500cc two stroke Titan. Get it, for me. TOOLS

I got a question for you…when I'm looking for a model of bike to buy, if I want one that already has dual disc front, is the 77 and 78 super sport model the only ones that came with that set up?

Yep unless, you go to the DOHC bikes. However it is very easy to put duel discs on them.

Just wait, stealthily. If Toolbabe gets angry and starts throwing bikes out to the street, it'll be easy pickings. Sorry the title work is not happening, but for a parts bike, it should be ideal. A few sales on the side, little fix up here and there, and you should cover your investment.
Back to work.

Yea it is a shame, but parts are needed to keep them on the road, so all is not wasted. In Kansas City there are, so many bikes that have been sitting in the garage/basement, for years, and the titles lost. The other day there were two fairle new bikes on craigslist cheap because of lost titles. A 94 750 Night hawk, and a newer V-twin Honda. They were left in a house that had been sold, and the guy that bought the house wanted rid of them.

I should tell those people to send those bikes down here….it's not that hard to get replacement titles here in Florida….

You can just go ahead and give me that CB750 instead of cannibalizing the poor thing. I can get an antique title for it in Kansas with just a bill of sale once it's over 35 years old. Heck, if you through in that DOHC roller you got in the TOOLSHED, I'll even give you my China-bike for it so you won't have to reset your bike counter.

Excellent suggestion. I bought a 1977 Coupe Deville this weekend, and it has historical plates on it. I think it's for vehicles over 25 years of age. Only downside: I can only drive it to club meetings, tours, parades, but not for daily driving. Now I could get Collector Vehicle plates for it. Hmmm...
