There was a grand opening of a "friend of a friend" who just opened his own tattoo shop last Saturday. The shop is over 2500 sq feet and the owners wife is an artist, so they made half the place a studio. They are planning on holding regular hot rod shows (pre-48 mostly, with rat rods in favor) art shows, and other cool events all designed to get people in and looking at their tattoo and piercing business. I rode my CB there and was one of only 6 bikes to show up. Lots of artists, models, and models dressed up rockabilly style with tattoos everywhere. It was one hot show with over 300 people crowding the shop and parking lot.
This is a shot of the owners rat rod....I think it was a '28 if I remember his website correctly. If you guys want, I can post the link for their shop, if you're ever down this way and want something done.

Oh, the guy that runs it, JR, is an artist too, not just a tattoo artist, but a painter, primarily he paints boobs, and hot rods....mostly what they call lowbrow art. They've got a few pieces up on the wall i want to get and put in my house....can't have just my own art...I'm starting an art collection with art from friends and local artists.
Oh, looked on his website and the owner of the rat rod is listed as Linton Ginther Jr. I guess that's why he goes by J R .
