Question about rotors and compatibility

zombiekillinEMT
Hey guys. I've been MIA for a while. Got my bike in storage. Just found an original left side cover with the same color scheme as mine...except it's for an 82 and mine's an 81. Close enough.

Anyway, I still need a rotor that holds a charge. I figure I should look for one now during the winter so I have it when spring comes.

My question is...what different years will fit a 81 cb750f? I've been looking on ebay and I just want to make sure I get one that fits my bike. I know the 78-82s are compatible somewhat. Just want to make sure the rotor is compatible in that time frame and curious as to what all will work with my bike.

The 78 will not work. It is a SOHC bike. I think, you can use 79-85.

You're right about the 78. I realized i miss-typed that after I posted it.

Does it matter for the different models? K vs C vs F?

Also, what resistance is acceptable? My clymer manual says between 0.4-0.5 ohms, but I'm seeing listings on ebay for 4.4 ohms, etc. I just want to make sure I don't buy a lemon...

All the models have the same rotor. The more Ohms they have the better. If they do not have any they are bad.
