RFY shocks

Lucky 1
Well maybe I made a mistake.
I ordered a set of RFY shocks from Ebay.
I received them but the bottom clevis hole is .060 too small for the bolt.

Now I am waiting to see what the seller will do.
Will I get a clevis for a larger bolt, or will I have to drill out the hole?
I do not like the idea of drilling out the hole because it may be weaker.

Also no instruction book or any information with the shocks. Nothing.
Nothing on the box.

Stay tuned.

I decided to drill the hole for the proper size bolt.
It went very well. I kept the center of the hole centered by using a step drill,
then drilling through. I beveled the edges of the holes with a countersink bit.
Just a little bit.

I was able to get a bolt from NAPA auto supply that was metric and had a smooth shank that went all the way through the clevis before the threads start.
I just have to trim it now.

Watch these things closely. I know other that got them and the shocks look pretty and are low cost but can be cheaply built.
