Rear Brake Squealing

Cabreco
I think it's time to replace my rear drum brake pads on my 81 750K. It's been 35 YEARS since I did my last motorcycle drum brakes SO...does anyone have a step by step write up on the R&R procedure & the adjustments afterwards?

Also (for future reference) how difficult would it be to replace the rears with a disc setup from a C or F?

The "C" does not have a rear disc, but you can use the "F" parts. Just swap the whole swingarm, and mount the master cylinder on the frame.
Replacing the rear shoes is not hard at all. But I am not sure whether yours are held on by slipping over pins with clips, or just slip over notches in the pin.

Thanks tools.

I don't recall doing drums as being hard either (but it's been awhile since doing them on my 72 CB500 as a kid)
Eventually I will try to look for a dead 750F to pull parts off. I like the fact of having discs all around. The only downside would of course, I have to swap my chrome spokes for Comstars wheels.

Its odd but I prefer my cb drum over the disk on my fz6. I suppose part of it might familiarity with my cb as I have had it for like 20 years. Still, I have had my fz for 3 now and I just dont get the same feel from it.
