Rear Rim is warped!?!?!?

Jack
This is the last issue that I noticed before getting my motorcycle insured, and safetyied and on the road.  I noticed that my rear wheel has a slight wobble in it when it is spinning on the center stand.  It is not just the rim that has a wobble, but the disc brake and sprocket all move at the same time.

It is a 82 CB750F with the black reverse Comstar rims.  Can this be fixed, or am I looking at tracking down another rim.  I noticed that there are nuts on the wheel that hold it together, but it looks like there is a speacial tool required to tighten or loosen these nuts.  I have take the wheel off again, and clean behind the sproket where the rubber boots go inside the hub, and regreased the bearings, and triple checked that the wheel was lined up correctly.

Any help or advise would be very much appreciated.

Do you have a run-out gauge?  This will show you if it is warped, or not.  Aside from that, I would imagine the Comstar will need to be replaced if it is warped -- I thought they were riveted at the factory, but I could be completely wrong...  Best of luck.  Cheers!

If everything is moving/wobbling (wheel, rotor, sprocket) your bearings are bad. Can you grab the wheel, and shake it? Does it have play? How did the bearings feel when you had the wheel off?

There is no play in the wheel at all.  The bearings felt fine when I had the wheel off.

There were problems with these Comstar rims. They were defective.
Better fix them or get rid of them.

Say wheel not rim.

The problem is that the rivets on the SPOKES where they attach to the rim come loose.
That is why the entire hub, sprocket etc., are crooked.

If the rivets on the spokes came loose, why would the rotor, and sprocket move? They are mounted to the hub, and cush drive.

Tools1...I am only offering a reason that I was told about. It is very hard to tell anything over the internet as you know.
It is just something to be looked at. The connections of the spokes to the rim.
I do know Honda had trouble with those style of rims.
