Saw a Cafe'd pre-DOHC in Germany, today.

sgtslag
We're visiting our son and his family in Ramstein, Germany (he's Air Force).  We were heading towards the Autobahn (German intersate highway system:  minimum speed -- 60 KPH; maximum speed -- as fast as you can go...).  I saw a bike buzz past us, and I recognized it immediately as it crossed our T, so to speak.  It was a beautiful cafe conversion.  No idea beyond that, as it buzzed past us at a good rate, and I was in the back of my son's van, looking around, no camera at hand.

We've seen quite a few bikes on the Autobahn's over the past 8 days.  Not sure I would like riding bike over here, as I prefer a more leisurely rate.  Still, it is very interesting to see different bikes buzzing down the no-speed-limit interstate highways over here.  Saw a Pan-European Honda sport touring bike, today.  Never seen that model before.  Loads of biker eye candy.  Even saw what looked like a 1965 Honda 65cc bike in Berlin , last week (worn, and tired looking, but for a bike that is around 49 years old, it looked pretty damn good!).  Had one when I was a kid -- family bike, we all took turns riding it at campgrounds.  Cheers!

My in-laws are in germany this month. The different bikes over in Europe are astounding. So many we never get in the US. Have a good trip.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
