I took the '75 Super Sport out the other day and was hitting about 90 mph on a back road it was great!
Later I got home and noticed I could see the oil tank (right side) I thought sh*t someone stole my sidecover then I had realized the thing must have flown off! I kinda freaked out thinking the thing was long gone but I jumped in my jeep and retraced my drive, I went right to the place where I was hitting around 90 and there it was in the middle of the road unscathed.
Just wondering if there is a technique for keeping these from flying off at high speeds. The gromets are good but the previous owner had put grease on the the pegs to make it easier to remove with out cracking them. I removed some of the grease and have been keeping it below 90 mph :(.
any other suggestions would be great!
