Similiar Vent Question...

7883750S
On the 78 CB750 should the carb vent port vacuum line be capped-off or should it be connected somewhere? If so where? thanks...

From what more research I've found, I'm 92% sure you leave it open, no plug. Every site I've seen has it hanging well below the carb's. But I'm new to all this and have yet to get the bike running longer than 10 seconds due to other issues-carb sync or valves/gasket issues.

Factory puts tube on to help keep dirt out, but as long as it's not plugged it's OK

Thanks...for the info! Was told to "plug" it, did so and had gas running into air box! Unplugged it and extended the vent port line over the air box & down to be below carb level...Runs fine!
