Slipping Clutch CB750 DOHC

AndyS
Hi I have a CB750C 1981, the clutch was slipping when I was in second gear at around 4000 revs.  It was find in all other gears and generally worked great apart from the slip in second.  I have just replaced the clutch fiction plates and springs only to find the problem is still there - still in second gear but at 5000 revs and it only slips when pulling away hard ish.  If I pull away nice and gentle it does not slip but anything other than gentle it slips.  The engine oil is Motul 4T 5100 10w40 and is rated MA2 which is good for a wet clutch.  The oil is semi synthetic.  Any help would be good.

Is it clutch slip, or jumping in, and out of gear?

Thanks for the quick reply.  The bike does not jump out of gear it just slips.  If I am nice and gentle all is ok but if I try to accelerate normally it slips.  As the clutch is new including the springs and the adjustment is good, the only other thing is oil - I am using Motul 4T 5100 which is rated at MA2 and is suitable for wet clutch.  I am now stuck.

Usually if a clutch is slipping, it slips in all the gears, and is most notable in the higher gears.

Just slips in second - pulls nice in first and then has a stumble in second.  Other gears are also fine.  Hope this is not a big problem!
