Special tool for front fork tube removal on 1975 cb750 f

Please help me with your advice if you can.  My front fork tube was leaking so I acquired some new seals on ebay.  I took the left fork off first and put it in the vise and took the cap off and spring out, emptied the oil and the next step was to loosen the 6mm allen head bolt on the bottom so I could remove the fork tube.  That is where the problem is.  The allen bolt just turns and turns but doesn't seem to loosen anything holding the tube.  The blow up doesn't show a nut on the other end of the 6mm bolt.  Am I doing something wrong?  Any help would be appreciated.

Can you just pull the tube out? It sounds like the bolt head is broke off. If the tube does not come out, try to pull the bolt head out and see if you can get an EZ out in there to remove the screw.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Thank you for your help.  I had two service manuals a clymer and a Haynes made in England.  After reading the Haynes closely I saw where they say not to take the spring out first because the allen bolt will turn keeping the bolt from loosening.  I put the spring back in and it worked like a charm.  The clymer manual said to go ahead and take the spring out first.  It's good to have a second opinion.  Thank you for your help.

On my 74 cb 750 I removed the fork cap and spring and put in a dowel rod that was just long enough to come up just past the bottom few treads for the cap and then put the cap back on. This will hold the lower unit in place so you can loosen the alen bolt.
