On the little tank under the battery box on a 750F and K there is a hose with a little plastic plug in the end. Is this a vent or just a plug? If it's a vent then mine is clogged.

That tank must be applicable to the USA markets, as mine does not have such a tank as shown in the diagram, so cant really help you with that question as Australian and South African CB F & K models are the same, but differ slightly from the USA models. I bought my CB750K in South Africa in 1980 and brought it with me to Australia in 1983. Mine is now off the road undergoing a long restoration as the exchange rate bewteen the AUS$ and the US$ is killing my bank account - so am holding off buying anything until the world recession is over
Hi Polymer,
why don't you put the year and model bike into the signature section on the profile page so we all know what bike you have. It would be nice if everyone would do it.

Ok How's this?
Anyway mine has no hole or split. If the consensus is that it's a vent then I guess I'll drill it out.
It is a condensation tank. It is plugged at the end of the hose . You should periodically remove the plug and drain it , more often if you ride in the rain. The earlier bikes had a slit in the hose to let the condensation out , but due to emission laws the later ones are plugged.

Thanks. I was just about to drill a hole in mine but now I guess I Won't.
