Strange Elextronics incident

Silver Rider
My neutral and oil lights have not worked since I bought my 1980 CB750C.  Yesterday I started her up, was warming the engine and stalled it when I put it into gear as she was a bit cold still. I had the clutch in and hit the electric start, but all that happened was my oil and neutral lights came on!  I put the bike into neutral, they went out, and she started right up.

Any thoughts on this??? Ignition switch corrosion?

Good place to start.  Get some electronic contact cleaner (electronics supply stores, or a DIY store's electrical supply department should carry it), to spray onto the contacts.  You may also want to apply some electrical contact grease (auto supply stores, or the aforementioned stores), to prevent future corrosion.  Cheers!
