Supertrapp T-102

DeadreckoningDesign
A friend of mine recently gave me two Supertrapp T-102 slipon mufflers for my latest project: 1979 CB750F Cafe Racer (Bobber/Street Fighter).
Performance wise what would be the best use of these? There is an existing 4:1 header on the bike now with a generic, rusted out m uffler

The Suppertrapp is an excellent high performance muffler because of its ability to be tuned just by adding or subtracting the discs in the end. I would love to have one. I think it would be a lot of fun playing with the tuning on one. I think it would be best to use one on a 4 into one system. I have never seen more then one used on a motorcycle.

My son had a late 70s CB550F with the 4-1 exhaust into a straight pipe.  Just for fun, we mocked up a Harley Sportster muffler (in flat black) onto it, and took it for a ride.  It turned from a loud brap brap bike to more of a racer sound.  Picked up about 4-5 mph on the top end as well.

I'd say you've got nothing to lose swapping outthe old generic muffler with the Supertrapp.  Go for it, and share the videos with us.

Thank you for your input TOOLS1, I'm also a KC resident so if i dont end up incorporating both of the T-102's in my build that would leave one for you to play with.  They were given to me by a long time friend who rides a California Custom HD, likes it loud and had no use for them.

Not that Im aware of.....i just saw that you were from KCMO and I grew up about 30min. North of K.C. in Plattsburg. Although I now live in Independence I'm seeking a place over in KC......trying to find a place with a rural setting but still in KCMO proper....not an easy task.
With Respect,
Shayne

Independence, you have a Harbor Freight right there. Why would you want to move?
I do not recognize your name, but it seems like every one in KC that is involved in motorcycles knows, or knows about me. I am pretty involved in the community here.
