TOOLS, what's your thoughts on the CB450?

I've been reading sources that a stock CB450 can overtake the CB750 in 0-60 (but that's about it).

I've got two of them now in my garage, and I absolutely love them to pieces...I think I have more fun on them than on CB750s due to their nimbleness, response, etc. Obviously I would take my CB750 for heading out of town, but for in town, I'd take the CB450 almost 9/10 times.

What's your experience on the CB450 as far as acceleration, etc?

To me, the CB450 is like the 2-seater sports car with lots of pep. The CB750 is a like a full sized muscle car with a back seat.

I have never had ant experience with the 450, only the 400. They are strong running bikes, but not going to out run a CB 750.

It definitely won't outrun a CB750, no way no how, but I'd be interested to know how well it does for the 0-60 (specs show pretty darn competitive).

The CB450 will definitely best the CB400 without a doubt. The CB450 is more than a full second faster 0-60.

I had a chance to buy a cb450 this spring from a "senior" with "12000kms", I guess an 83 nighthawk, wish I had jumped on that.  picture looked like a new bike - but doh, missed out.  yeah, those 450's are just as indestructable as long as you don't mind riding a bike your daughter would like!  haha (I would ride one ;)
