Tach Seal explosion?!?!

sub1427
1980 CB750, the PO had some sort of silicone goo around the tach seal coming out from the engine... I was coming home the other day and the silicone let go, spraying myself and the bike with tons of hot oil.  Not fun.   Anyone have any recommendations on what I can use to fix it or where to buy a new seal?  As of now I cant even ride her because of this oily problem.  Thanks!

honda will most certainly have the seal. They did for my 78 sohc. It was under $3 I think.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Like re-run says, try your dealer or hdlparts.com. They should still be able to get them for a couple bucks. The PO of my 75 SOHC had an o-ring in there. There was no seal at all and the o-ring barely slowed down the oil. I ordered two of them just to have a spare.
