Things I heard on the Internet….

MarkPBG
Ok CB750 Mythbusters….here you go…
1. They often leak oil.
2. The carb bowls often leak gas.
3. The chain likes to lube the muffler.
4. They're notorious for loose cam chains.

So, myth, or busted? Any more things I should worry about before buying one?
You guys ride them, most of these rumors were posted on sites where the poster didn't even have a bike listed in their profile, so they may know less than squat.

p.s., I may have that 1980 before noon tomorrow! (fingers crossed it's a good one)

Thanks. I would already have gone over and looked at it, but had to go out of town for the first few days of my vacation. Ironically, the bike I like is near home and not somewhere I had to travel to get.

Total crap!  The CB750K is one of the most reliable bikes ever produced.  My wife and I rode our 1979 K, two up, 1,935 miles, around Lake Superior...  In 2009!  The bike was 30 years old, and very heavily loaded.  The only problem we had, the entire trip, is that the throttle grip came off on day two.  We glued it back on, and finished the rest of our nine-day trip.

Buy any K bike, and enjoy it!  They are a phenominal motorcycle.  Cheers!
