Throttle cable routing

bagoony
My friend and I took apart the carbs for cleaning and thought we could memorize the routing for the throttle cables. Turns out we can't remember. (Of course)

Was wondering if anyone could point out where the "fereal" or cylinder pieces slide into, on the carbs. There are three? Two for the throttle and one for the choke?

I know we slid one of them in the right place b/c it pulled the throttle, but the return is where I'm confused.

Not sure if I know what I'm talking about. Lost.

Thanks in advance.

From the sig,I'll assume a DOHC.

First of all, it'll be in the FSM, which you should download ( it's free ) if you haven't already.

Secondly, look at your throttle blades. The only piece of linkage that will accept a cable end is directly between the two center carbs. Twist it, and watch your blades move: hook your throttle cables to that. You'll just have to work the throttle grip to see which cables ''pulls", and hook it up accordingly.

Lastly, look at your choke blades. Same diagnosis as above. Only one possible location to hook your cable to, use it and you'll be golden.

Awesome. Thanks for the guide. Much appreciated. Will update how I do once I'm able to link them again.
