To the people in virginia

hondacb750f
I am looking for some one from the board that may be in Virginia or northern nc. to come by for a couple hours and go thru this stuff with me. I am dyeing to  get it on the road.

Last week I had synched the carbs by eye.  fired the bike up (which is named zombie)  and ran great. I hooked the gages up to dial it in better, and now there is a popping coming from exhaust four. when I clean the plug it will stop for a couple mins.

Also now it will not idle with out  the choke being closed.   again 30 mins before and it was idling great. FOr the first time since I had it. It had idled at about 1200 rpms. in stead of 3000.

I was missing the  small rubber washer in the number on air cut off. put that in and it made a lot of difference.  Watching the idles raise and fall about 50 rpms I am thinking I may have another one missing. but I am nervous to pull the whole rack apart before testing it on the spare rack I just bought.

I live in Martinsville va. 24112 can make some accommodations.

WIth the help of a lot of people from here we have got it running nice.

now I am just trying to get it right.
thank you in advance.

also when I synched them, I left what I call the fuel door open, just enough to see a shadow.  should this be closed more?   I can give mu number if some one is willing to call.

I'm about an hour and a half away from you. I think it's only about 60-70 miles to Martinsville from here(Bedford).

I am sooo covered up this week it's ridiculous, but I'll get in touch with you soon. I may be able to be free this weekend. All depends on what breaks down/gets fixed between now and then .

No,I didn't see any emails. Sorry if I left you hanging, but work never did slack off any. Crazy, crazy past few weeks. One truck wrecked, two in the shop for repairs, one bought so we could continue working and now one of the repaired trucks is off the road again( 6.0 Powerstrokes...need I say more?)

Good luck with your bike! I'll be glad to help any way or time I can.
