Touch up paint

Charlie1717
Does anyone know the best route on getting a small bottle of paint to do some touch ups on my 750? I have a very clean 73 but has two little chips that I would like to touch up. What's the best method of doing this. Sorry if that is a dumb question I'm fairly new.

Only dumb ?s is one not asked
I believe that has a powder type metallic in it  a match is next to impossible unless you were to pay for
a complete mix of a quart,A quality Auto paint supply should be able to look up the mix or you can try to find it your-self and give it to them,
P P G is near my work been wonting a reason to see whats in there building and ask ?s

Another problem you'll have is that color will take a bunch of coats to cover, so you may see a difference in the metal flake even if the paint is a perfect match.  If you want it perfect you may have to paint the piece.

Well it is on the tank  it's a small chip and the rest of the tank is flawless. I may just leave it or put some touch up as best I can.

If it is a very small chip, say, the size of a bb,you can daub some paint on it until you get it intentionally high, then buff it back down smooth.I dont know how thick the preexisting paint,so you could wreak havoc there. No one will scoff if your touch-up paint is not spot-on with the rest of the metallic.Im sure you can tough it up just fine.It would take a complete repaint to be "perfect",but a good body guy could blend it just fine.Chances are if you go to a lot of trouble and expense,as soon as you get it "perfect" you will get another chip in it.Might as well just touch up what you got IMO.Whatever it takes to seal it up to prevent rust from starting thru the chip, thats what i would do.Again, that is a truly gorgeous machine

Thank you sir,
That is what I'm thinking. It is about the size of a bb. My goal is not necessarily to have it perfect but to get it close and protect the tank. I'm thinking of getting it clear coated over top of the decals/rest of the tank. My friends bike is like that and I like the idea of that.
