Turn Signal Problems

I am having an issue with the turn signals on my 74 cb750K. None of the signal lights light up when I hit the switch (right or left), however they come on as running lights when I turn on the headlight. When the headlight is on and I hit the turn signal switch that particular light goes out until I turn off the turn signal switch. My first impression is that the indicator relay has gone bad because the blinkers light up as running lights with the headlight. Does anyone have advice?

Hmmm,that is a good question.Did they work okay before,or has this always been an issue?Im asking because i dont know if you have been riding the bike,or if it is a newly assembled build.What about the turn signal flasher thingy?You know, the little round metal doo-dad?Maybe it messed up

sounds like it's miswired or you have a short in the line.

Hey J man,
             When i 1st seen my bike at night ,I thought I had a short in tail lights But come to find out I don't get running lights in rear on this bike stock,SO I added double element socket and bulbs,  I say this cause maybe some-one added to yours ,as others "slick ,Ribs"?were saying Check those wires may not be stock at all...Piute...
