If you can find them, the Pirelli MT66 Route tires are all I run on all three of my bikes; they're tubeless, bias-ply tires, but I run them with tubes on my '79 CB750K, and I run them tubeless on my two Kawasaki bikes.  They have excellent wet traction (rode my 750, two-up, heavily loaded, in four days of rain, riding in Canada, leaning pretty good in the curves...  never slipped once!), and they are less prone to follow cracks and grooves in the road, than most tires.  Check the Internet for reviews besides mine.  Cheers!
