Vin Help

7t1HondaCB
My bike only has a 12 number vin, can anyone help me in knowing what year my bike should be or what my bike would be? Vin is CB750-1012795.

Thanks in advance.

If that # is correct, you have a Die Cast K-0 manufactured 69-70. There should be a VIN tag on the right side of the steering head with the month/year of manufacture on it. Also until 1976 the bikes were not titled to year of manufacture, they were assigned a year when they were sold, and titled. That is why it is common to find bikes manufactured in the late 60's early 70's titled as vehicles with a date 2-3 years after they were made. Honda had storage facility s filled with bikes waiting to be sent to dealers back then.

Nothing on the right side only the vin I supplied is on the frame. Now how can I tell if my bike matches my frame? I have the following number on my engine: CB750E-1006111.

That engine# is for a Sand Cast engine, however that is quite a stretch between the two numbers, so I am thinking your engine was replaced. However it is odd, since you usually see it the other way, an early sand cast frame with a later engine.

Well at least they are both sandcast right!!

Gotta be worth something I'm sure...I'm just excited that they are both sandcast frame & engine.

I lucked out as I got the bike from a Harley guy that wanted to get rid of the bike, I'm sure if he knew what he had he wouldn't of sold it!

Thanks for the info TOOLS I appreciate the help and knowledge.

I believe the frame number to be way too high for a sand cast. It is way more likely to have had a die cast engine in it from the factory.
