Vin search

Ok just got a 1977 cb750a I'm trying to look up the vin to make sure it isn't stolen and to find original owner this bike has 3300 miles on it and is in pristine shape but no title I am trying to find it before I comment to parting it out the vin on it doesn't bring up any info for it's not a 17digit number

If you are just going to part it out, don't worry about it. Just do not sell the frame.
