WHAT HAPPENED? Bike just stalled while riding.

I was riding in downtown Nashville tonight & bike just died on me. All the electrical power went out & engine stopped simultaneously. Plugs? Alternator? Wouldn't kick-start either. What do I need to check out???

For everything to die together i would probably look at the fusible link.Unless it is real simple like a battery cable just fell off.Hmmm.....

Sounds like the main fuse went, that is why I always replace the fuses with the newer style blade type, and use a 20 amp blade type breaker, for the main.

Thx for the suggestions, gents. This site is the best. Going to pick up bike now & bring home. I assumed it was alternator-related, but perhaps a fuse/electrical bug IS the culprit. That could be more simple, which is good for me! As stated, everything just blacked out & engine stopped simultaneously. Will keep y'all posted.

This happened to me once.  Turned out that the key must not have been turned all the way "on".  It slipped into "off" as I was riding.  Scared the crap out of me.
