Wagonpeddler
Looking to replace the windshield for my "81 750 Custom. Finally broke my 38 year old shield. Anyone recommend a good source?
Thanks.

I have a really nice one from back in the day hanging on my garage wall. Still in good shape, I would be willing to part with it. I will try to get some pictures if your interested.

Sure. I'll take a look. I had an old police style shield, clear upper, blue tinted lower. Had a real solid mount...something that seems to be lacking with the current crop of new shields.

Finely got my new computer set up, so I could download pictures. Here are some pictures of the windshield. It is pretty dusty, but in good shape.

Thanks, Tools. Not sure of that's the style I want. What is the height from the top of the shield to the top of the headlight cutout? Is it tinted, of just clear with dust?  You have mounting hardware? Found a National Cycle shield for my bike, but it's expensive. How much shipped?
Thanks.

It's just very dusty, not tinted. I do not have the clampy thingys that go on the handle bars, but I know some shops sell them. I would take $25.00 plus shipping.

I saved the mount kit from my old shield. What is the diameter of the rods?

Can't seem to get the National Cycle mount kit to fit. What kind of bike was your shield on? Do you have the handlebar mounts?
Thanks.

Got the National Cycle shield to fit...a real pain. Had to fabricate some new parts, but seems OK now.
Thanks.
