Very interesting Lucky.  I might just tackle this.

Shiny, your results are also encouraging me.  Although I'm not really sure I even want to do 140 mph (226 km/hr) on my bike.  150 km/hr makes me feel like I'm really pushing it.

I'm in Jupiter, didnt realize there were so many bike shops in the area?? Any of those shops, if not all, mess with CB's?

Oh and didn know if you heard, but theres a classic british car and bike show this saturday around here? Not sure of the complete details but a buddy of mine just sent me a text about it, definitely worth checking out though.

I'm only going to call those results claims until I can put up some video. I don't want people talking bad about me you know

BTW,226 sounds alot more impressive than 140.

I know. I'm awful.I'm working on it though.

Just thought I would mention,in my haste to ride I never oiled the filter elements on my pods. I oiled them quite liberally two days in a row to really let the oil soak in good. It has been very windy here for the past 3 days. I had a lot of running around to do and racked up almost 300 miles in 3 days. With the pods well oiled I never caught the first cross-wind that ever affected the bike.It should have compared to what I've rode in before, but nothing happened. Wind was so bad today that i almost changed lanes one time cuz it hit me so hard and unexpected.

No explanation, just telling y'all what happened. Maybe I was on the ragged edge of what these bikes/carbs will tolerate?Either way,I'm saying problem solved until further problems

SO far I've only talked to two shops that claim to work on older bikes in their ads. One is Jupiter Cycle Racing, the guy there ran me around for two months by saying he wanted me to call a day or two before bringing it in. My job doesn't give me any notice when my day off will be, so I can't do that. Besides, why can't I drop it off, tell him what I want done, and later when he can get to it, he can start? Duh. Now I am taking it to Powersports of Palm Beach over in Lake Park. The guys there are just as knowledgable, and will take it in at MY convenience.

I did not hear about that show, and missed this post before it was over. damn. next time. :)

Yea I talked to DJ at Jupiter Cycles and he said they could do it but it might be awhile before they get to it. Im just kinda curious as to what it might cost to synch the carbs and get them tuned in? I also asked to see if they would set it up for pods, just out of curiosity, and he said yea. So Im definitely gonna keep them in mind. Let me know how you like Powersports and their pricing.

And yea you missed a pretty cool little show. It had some cool cars and a few bikes. There were two awesome Nortons with the chrome tanks and a sweet older ducati! Ill try to post some pictures on here if I get a chance. I appreciate the info!

Here There's a place called Don & Sons Cycles,
Went there couple months ago and they had a ridged 750 with key-tops and pods ,for sale 3,500.oo dirty
So i ask if they could sync my carbs and cost he said 35.bucks should only take less then 1/2 hr.
Haven't got that far yet to take it in but will then talk about pods and such,I believe / bet my cuzz Paul can get those pods and exhaust sounding great .After bikes been running and he get used of carb setting he good real good.
