Thanks, I knew about those, I'm looking for an extra set of ORIGINAL gauges like what came with the bike new.
I've ordered a set of the mini gauges for the cafe project from Dime City. They had the speedo with the little led's built in for turn, neutral, and high beam. Then I can use the aftermarket triple trees.

This is what I'm looking for….
And why is my tach showing a 9500 RPM redline and a max readout of 13k when all the replacement faces for the k4 show a redline of 8k RPM and max out at 11K RPM? I think I may have the wrong gauge on my bike.

You have the Nippondenso speedo like i do,but my tach is different than yours.Your gauges dont match each other so im pretty sure the tach has been changed.Hold on,this is odd.Look at your speedo vs. mine.
My total mileage is on top and the trip meter is on bottom.Yours is reverse of mine. What the heck???I THOUGHT that I had researched this stuff before i ordered my appliques to be certain. There are two different types of speedo.I forget the name of the other but one is the Nippendenso,or ND,like you see on your speedo face.Apparently there are two different ND gauges.Huh,guess I got lucky

|
They're both exactly the same coloring, there was some light spill on the speedo that makes it look like a different shade in the pics….but yeah, pretty sure they're not a matching set. Probably a junk yard find slapped on to make the bike look complete.

Your speedo has a yellow tipped pointer, whereas your tach has a red tipped pointer. That is what i was referring to when i said they didn't match.Only reason i noticed it is that my tips were yellow and i painted them red when i had them apart.Do they work ok?They really don't look all that bad. Most of the ones I have seen the faceplates are actually cracked.Mine was severely faded.Yours doesnt seem to have a single crack on either one.You could always do a set of overlays and just fix that one dent. You'd have about $20-30 in it.I looked on ebay and they do have the ones for your style speedo, too.Hard to tell what happened.Somebody might have laid it down years ago and had to replace one of them.

|
They're both red, the speedo pointer is much more faded. That's another reason I thought one of the gauges may have been a replacement. They're not even close to being evenly sun worn, even considering the lean of the handlebars when parked putting one gauge more into the sun than the other.

NO, it looks yellow in the picture….I just took a quick snapshot and didn't color correct it in photoshop. I actually thought the picture turned out with kind of a yellowish orange tint to the pointer. Also, see how the redline on the tach has kind of an orange tint, it's really red. But it's not your eyes, it's a non-color corrected pic.

Still looking. I'm only finding junk out there that's in as sorry shape as the ones I have now. I would send mine out for reconditioning, but with every part of the gauge needing repair, it would cost a bundle to do them right.

You want stock replacement gauges, not mini's ,correct? I'll check with a few of the local bike shops tomorrow and see if they have anything.
