What Is The Value Of This Bike?

stillbuster
I found this one for sale locally.
What would be the top dollar to pay?

ADD:
"1975 Honda 750 Super Sport motorcycle. This bike is extremely rare because until 1976 these bikes were not available in the U.S. The previous owner shipped it over here when in the armed forces. I bought the bike and wanted to restore it but as time has passed I have realized that I do not have the time or the resources. The engine on the bike is not locked up but has not been cranked for about a year. So dont expect to drive it home. This bike is still restorable and my price is firm. I know what I have and want to see my bike go to someone that will make this bike amazing again."

To start with, they sold thousands of them in the US in 75, so don't think it is really rare. However it would be a perfect start, for a cafe. With CLEAR title it would be wort $500.00 to $700.00. Without CLEAR title $250.00 to $500.00. This is depending on the bikes condition. Are the tires good? How about the exhaust, and chrome parts? Are all the parts there?

As tools said, it is not "rare". Certainly not as many as the K bike but the F was sold in 75 in the US so it was not "brought" over unless the person wanted to just because.
But it has a ripped seat and most likely the foam is pad and the pan is rusted out.
Missing both side covers.
Non stock mirrors
Aftermarket exhaust.

It MIGHT be worth 1000 IF the engine starts. If you can start it, I would go with TOOLS estimations.

It depends on where you sell it, really. In a Kansas basement, maybe $100, but in Florida, you could be like everyone else and ask for $2000. lol, just kidding. It may go for $1200 or so in Florida, but they'll start asking for $2000. ;)

Hmm, maybe that's a good idea for my vacation….a rental truck, one week in Kansas, and internet access to craigslist! lol

They are not prevelent here in MS or so it seems.
I have been reading the different forums and it seems like a 70-79 CB750 is sitting in everybodys basement somewhere in the Mid-west!
I am still waiting on the pictures.

Well they might not be overly common there but they are not rare either so don't let that seller pull that one on you. Especially with all the parts it is missing.

I agree with everyone else on the idea that it is not rare. In my area, SW Virginia, that bike just as it is would bring $1000. Even if the tires were shot and the battery was 20 years old,if it would start and run it would bring $1500. I'm with Mark,we need to go bike hunting in Tools' and Piute's 'hood!

Mine is a '76, not supersport. Looked like it had been sitting safe from the elements in a garage since it didn't have much oxidation.  It hadn't been crashed too badly, just a small dent on the transmission case.  Low mileage (but we know we take that with a grain of salt).  Title looked clean to me.

I should also mention I did ride it home right away and the engine actually got better with use.  The bike cost me $700.  In comparison, I'm not sure I'd pay $600 for a bike I can't even test ride.

Good luck man, these old bikes kick butt when they are well taken care of.
