Why two left side tubes?

Rusty Spokes
I'm getting ready to use these 8 over forks but I didn't notice, that these forks I bought a couple of weeks ago, are two of the left sides. I been searching to find out why would they do this, but nothing. So I been thinking about grinding the edges off both of them to give them a clean no brakes look. I thought to check with you guys first, before I did anything, maybe one of you have two right sides and need a left side, and maybe want to trade?

DO NOT GO GRINDING ON THOSE!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are the early style 69-72 fork legs. They are worth some dollar$ to the restores.  If, you want I have a set of later model sliders. They will work with your tubes.

I know they're worth cash and are hard to find, thats why I'm checking to see if anybody needs a left side before I do anything!! I also have a extra pair of the later models I can use, but having two of the same side What I'm I going to do, sell one and keep the other?  What are the odds I'll find two right sides? You have to understand that I'm in a position that they'll look bad if I used them like that. If no one buys one or both, then they'll just sit around! Please if someone out there has them, lets trade for one and save them! They're chome plated and one of them is starting to flake off, the other is in great shape. I'll give them a month, so keep your ear and eyes open.
